What's on offer for Juniors

Squash Player

JUNIOR ACADEMY

The Tawa Junior Academy is a coaching programme offered during school terms.

$100 for the full term
Discounts allowed if joining late in the term.
Trial 1 session.

Squash Rackets, Balls & Eyewear can be provided by the club. Juniors just need to wear non-marking shoes.

4:00pm - 4:45pm: This training is for beginner squash players who are still learning the basic skills or are taking up squash for the first time. The session will involve learning the fundamentals of squash i.e., bouncing, throwing, catching, hitting etc. If you're unsure of what session your child should attend, we encourage them to start with this one and we will move them up if we think they are ready to advance.

4:45pm - 5:30pm: This training is a progression from the early session. The juniors in this group will have a good understanding of the fundamentals of squash and will be ready to advance their skills. They will learn proper technique, common squash drills that they can do outside of coaching, and match play. The idea is to get these juniors to a point where they are confident enough to enter tournaments.
